Eunice Chen is an occupational therapist who is dedicated to supporting people as they navigate life changes and to partnering with clients to promote their well-being. She earned her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of Manitoba in 2023, following a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Microbiology. Eunice values evidence-based care and believes in a person-centered approach that recognizes each person is unique and deserves to be heard and understood as they are. Currently working at Health Sciences Centre, Eunice provides assessments and tailored interventions for individuals recovering from serious injuries, such as spinal cord injuries and amputations. She works closely with clients to find practical solutions that support their independence and engagement in everyday activities. She also collaborates with other healthcare professionals to develop out-of-the-box strategies for clients so they can adjust to their new circumstances and regain a sense of self-confidence and efficacy. Her skills and passions extend into mental health, where she has facilitated group therapy using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) principles to address anxiety in individuals and nurture their resilience. Eunice continually enhances her skills through specialized training in areas such as mental health, spinal cord injury management, and using adaptive aids and technology. Having worked with a variety of age groups, from early years to older adults, Eunice shares in the joys and frustrations of her clients as they navigate through different challenges. Outside of work, Eunice enjoys photography, crafting, and playing musical instruments, which reflect her occasionally creative side. Aynsley comes from a very active family and has participated in sports all her life. After numerous trips to the physiotherapist for various injuries, she realized her deep interest in the field of physiotherapy. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation (PT) degree in 2008 and has worked in private practice treating a wide range of orthopaedic conditions since. She is passionate about physiotherapy and loves helping people return to their pre-injury condition, or better! “I can relate to the setbacks an injury can cause. It is extremely rewarding to help clients return to training and reach their goals.”
Aynsley is very dedicated to the profession of physiotherapy. Ryan is passionate about empowering patients to achieve their goals through collaborative plans of care. He integrates exercise, manual therapy, and patient feedback to develop personalized and effective care plans that help patients reach their goals.
Ryan was inspired to pursue a career in physiotherapy after experiencing firsthand the profound impact it can have on someone’s life. As an avid athlete growing up, he faced several injuries across multiple sports. Fortunately, with the help of physiotherapy, he was able to recover and return to full participation in both sports and everyday life—an experience that fueled his passion for helping others do the same. Ryan is committed to putting patients first by recognizing that each person’s journey is different and deserves a tailored approach. He takes the time to understand each individual’s goals and needs, whether they’re a child, an elite athlete, or someone simply looking to stay active. Ryan has worked with patients of all backgrounds and strives to help them reach their full potential—whether that means returning to sport, play, or daily life.
Ryan earned his Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Manitoba in 2024, following a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2022. Curtis Friesen MPT, BKin
Curtis graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2014 and then went on to complete his Master of Physical Therapy in 2016. Since graduating he has gone on to take extensive post graduate training in areas of manual therapy and advanced exercise prescription which has profoundly shaped his clinical practice.
Curtis has always been involved in sports and activities and enjoys looking for new challenges. He began lifting weights consistently in middle school and has had a love for weight training since then. Alongside his university studies, he set out to practice Taekwondo, achieving the rank of first degree blackbelt. His passion for activity was a major influence in his path to becoming a physiotherapist, as well as a love of learning and a strong desire to help others.
Curtis believes strongly in developing an individualized plan centred around goals that are meaningful to his patients. He is passionate about educating his patients so that they have a good understanding and clear direction in their rehabilitation plan. He regards exercise as one of the most powerful ways in which he can influence his patients’ health and, with a primarily active approach, works hard to help others achieve their goals, promote independence, and foster resilience.
Curtis’s love for education extends well beyond his direct clinical involvement. From 2015-2020, he served as a board member of the MB- Section of Sport Physiotherapy Canada, where his primary role as the education chair was to bring in high-quality continuing education courses and speakers to therapists in the community. Felicia didn’t always know she wanted to be an RMT but always knew she was meant to help people. After high school, she attended the University of Manitoba where she achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She worked in the mental health sector, helping people living with addictions, developmental delays, and people who have experienced homelessness. While she found this rewarding, Felicia felt like she needed to help people in a more physical way.
Felicia began working alongside other massage therapists as a receptionist and soon fell in love with the profession. She received treatments and noticed huge improvements in her activities and daily living. The massage therapists she met were so passionate about their role in health care that Felicia felt inspired to pursue Massage Therapy as well. Felicia completed her studies at Wellington College for Remedial Massage Therapies in June of 2020. She is passionate about the work she does and feels honoured to contribute to the health of others. Felicia strongly believes in an integrated approach in achieving any health related goal. She respects and appreciates the work of her colleagues and will always make sure her clients are receiving the best care possible.

Joe grew up playing hockey, soccer, badminton and golf. In the gym he enjoys an array of activities such as Olympic lifting, sprints, resistance training as well as cycling. Daryl was previously the Director of Sport Science at an Olympic/ Paralympic training centre for 10 years where he with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated services to gifted athletes. Daryl is trained as a sports and exercise scientist, a physiologist and strength coach.
Daryl’s curious disposition, attention to detail, and innovative ideas have made him a highly sought resource for high-performance individuals and organizations. Daryl has travelled as a performance staff member for Triathlon Canada, Soccer Canada, Volleyball Canada, and Wheelchair Basketball Canada to name a few. Ashley then returned to Manitoba to complete her Master’s in Physical Therapy from the University of Manitoba in 2016.
Since graduating from Physical Therapy, Ashley has worked in both the private practice clinical and mobile setting with a focus on running and gait analysis, manual therapy and individualistic tailored exercise prescription. In addition to private practice, Ashley worked for 5 years in the hospital setting with a variety of patient populations including but not limited to: elective hip and knees, orthopaedic traumas, strokes, Parkinson’s, Geriatrics and dementia patients. Her diverse training in various settings with a large range of patient populations, has helped shape her knowledge of patient care.

Shanley grew up in rural Manitoba and eventually moved to Winnipeg for her university education. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology from the University of Manitoba in 2015 and graduated with a Master’s in Physical Therapy in 2017. Shanley holds a lot of value in continuing her education and has completed post-graduate courses such as taping and bracing, Orthopedic Level 1 and Acupuncture. Shanley achieved her certification in Women’s Health and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy in January 2019.
She is passionate about this area of health and wellness and wants to provide access for all individuals experiencing pelvic health concerns. She has continued to take various courses within this area of physical therapy and is now treating men, women, and transgender patients, from pediatrics to older individuals. She believes in a holistic approach to rehabilitation and tries to integrate the knowledge she has gained from various courses and experiences into client-centred care. Jordan is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist who graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2018. He has completed a wide variety of continuing education to maintain his certification over the last 5 years. From an early age, Jordan took an interest in many sports and was a competitive curler for 15 years. Jordan’s passion for lifting, recovery, and holistic health led him to the gym in the early years of University. Dayna graduated from the University of Manitoba with a BSc Human Ecology (Foods & Nutrition) and completed her dietetic internship at Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg. She completed a Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education at U of M. Dayna provides medical nutrition therapy to a wide variety of clients and age ranges. She has experience in clinical nutrition in acute care settings and has provided nutrition services to adults and children with heart disease, elevated cholesterol, liver disease/fatty liver, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, diabetes/pre-diabetes, gastrointestinal conditions and food allergies/intolerances. Dayna is the Nutrition Advisor for the MB Chapter of the Canadian Celiac Association and a member of the Canadian Celiac Association Professional Advisory Committee.

Blake graduated from Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapies in 2016. Blake’s love for the body and movement originally came from her love of dance, however, her love for massage therapy began two weeks into massage therapy while learning medical terminology. Blake sees everyone as a puzzle and feels a small victory finding each puzzle piece. Using a variety of massage techniques, each treatment plan is designed based on the client’s specific wants and needs and is always changing depending on what is needed during each visit. Blake loves to treat problems and find the source, but also believes in the benefits of relaxation massage when it is therapeutically necessary.
